Colnago Cycling Festival has started today in the heart of Desenzano del Garda (BS).
With the exhibition opening the three days dedicated to cycling kicked off, gathering nearly 10,000 people between cyclists and their families for a weekend based on two wheels.
The gray sky that greeted the first riders arrived to collect race numbers and race packages will leave soon, the sun is coming out from the clouds so that everything run smoothly.
Garda Lake area is ready to welcome 3.000 participants in the Colnago Granfondo scheduled for Sunday and the numerous side events of the weekend.
Tomorrow we will start to pedal with Randoneè Garda Lake Tourthat is going to show the beauties of Garda territory thanks to the magnificent views offered by the various municipalities crossed. The race will give participants the pass to attend the Paris-Brest-Paris Randonnée (it is still possible to apply online, see www.colnagocyclingfestival.com/giro-lago-regolamento.html).
In the afternoon space to children with the Baby Bike which will take place in Golden Beach. Expects more than 200 kids that will have fun riding their small mountainbikes.
In the evening there will be a Gala Dinner with local authorities, such Mayor Rosa Leso and the Councillor for Economic Development of the City of Desenzano del Garda Valentino Righetti, ad and many other VIPs guests. The expectations of the organizing committee, that engaged 1,000 people from today until Sunday to allow the optimal outcome of the event, are high.
