– Not just cycling : Windows Contest , Colnago bikes Exhibition, Randonnée and Junior Bike
Over one month from the 6th edition of the Colnago Cycling Festival, in Desenzano del Garda on 6/7/8 April, the OC of one of the most important cycling events in Italy, has just presented the official programme of the CCF week end, confirming once again to offer not only sport, but much more for everyone.
March 24th , the city of Desenzano del Garda will give its personal welcome to the festival with the Windows Contest. The shops of the center will dedicate their windows to the bike world. A precious exhibition will take place in Desenzano Castle with some bikes from the private collection of Ernesto Colnago, and a photography exhibition dedicated to the 100th Giro d’Italia.
But the most awaited weekend of Lake Garda opens officially Friday, April 6th, with the Randonnée Giro del Lago and its two courses: the short route of 145 km and 520 meters in altitude and the long one with its 195 km and 2100 meters in altitude.
24 Nations will be present at the festival and on Friday, the new Expo area will open in the heart of Desenzano, presenting many cycling brands.
Saturday is dedicated to the junior champions of the Junior Bike that will compete with each others in the early afternoon at the Lungolago Cesare Battisti.
During the evening: the Official Presentation of the Granfondo with Ernesto Colnago, the Press and the Live Cabaret of Cristiano Militello.
Sunday April 8th is Colnago Marathon Day! Two routes which can be chosen during the race: the medium with its 110 km and a total altitude of 1,384 and the long with 159 km of enthusiasm mixed with hard work and an altimetry of 2,044m.
We want to give the cyclists some advice: raise your eyes from the road and enjoy the wonderful landscape on San Michele Ascent, it’s really stunning!
More than a thousand people of the CCF staff will supervise the race, with the presence of the Police as exceptional escort in order to ensure the safety of the event to be carried out until last cyclist finishes.
In the early afternoon the awards will take place, with interviews and media presence.
