Over 4,000 participants from 20 countries and 12,000 attendees gathered to celebrate the event, which successfully combined cycling with the promotion of the territory

The 18th edition of the Colnago Lake Garda Cycling Festival came to a close with the Granfondo Colnago, following three days of sports and activities for enthusiasts and families, marked by smiles, the excitement of being together again after a year apart, and the enthusiastic participation of the entire region.

Over 4,000 participants from 20 countries around the world took part in a premier sporting event that, in addition to being a benchmark for athletes, brings parents, children, families, and spectators together in a grand celebration, introducing them to the core values of our event: sport, solidarity, and the promotion of the territory.

At 7:30 a.m., the athletes of the Granfondo Colnago took their places at the starting line to kick off this spectacular 18th edition.

A spectacular start: the procession of 4,000 fans brought the center of Desenzano to life for a full 10 minutes after the official start!

After leaving Desenzano del Garda, the participants rode together to Gardone Riviera, where the group split up according to their chosen route: cyclists on the medium route (110 km) and the “Le Bellezze di D’Annunzio” cycling tour (40 km) climbed toward the Vittoriale degli Italiani, while the intrepid cyclists on the long route (138 km) continued straight on.

The Colnago Lake Garda Cycling Festival, with its routes, covers a vast area: 71 municipalities, 4 provinces, and 3 regions.

Along the routes, our cyclists enjoyed the traditional flavors of the region at the refreshment stops in: Navazzo, in collaboration with the Pro Loco of Gargnano; Capovalle, in collaboration with the Pro Loco of Capovalle; Cima Coste, in collaboration with the Pro Loco of Vallio Terme; and San Michele, in collaboration with the Gardone in Bike Association and the Pro Loco of Gardone Riviera.

Meanwhile, in Desenzano del Garda, our sponsors brought the streets of the town center to life, adding color and energy to the event: industry brands such as X-Bionic, Ekoi, Tomasi Auto, Noleggiare, and Namedsport showcased high-quality products and the latest innovations from the world of cycling. A heartfelt thank you goes out to them for their support of the event.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the institutions, the Prefecture, the Province of Brescia, the participating municipal administrations, and law enforcement agencies—the Traffic Police, the Carabinieri, and local police forces—whose support ensures that the event takes place under the safest possible conditions.

It is precisely thanks to the collaboration between institutions, associations, and local communities that the Colnago Lake Garda Cycling Festival continues to grow year after year, establishing itself as one of the leading international events dedicated to cycling and the promotion of the Lake Garda region.
